![]() ![]() If you happen to get a pokemon with 3IVs, 1 different from the parents, I, personally, probably would exchange it but either way you'd have to rely on chance for the offspring to get 4IVs Hope this helps at least a bit and I wish you luck!! Stat, and attackers likely won't need the Sp Atk. For example, special attakers probably won't have a use for the Atk. Some people recommend to go for 5IVs if you know a pokemon you're breeding won't use a certain stat. It's used to pass down a beneficial nature for said pokemon (to find the best nature for a pokemon, just look up "_ best nature" and find it pretty quickly.)Īfter you get a 6IV pokemon, you could continue breeding for more (with the destiny knot, if you're breeding 1 6IV pokemon and 1 5IV, at least in other games, the chance of getting another 6IV pokemon is 1/96 and if you're breeding 2 6IV pokemon, the chance is 1/32) Note that the 6th IV will be random with a 1/32 chance of being perfect.Īnother breeding item that you may find useful is the Everstone which passes down the nature of the parent who's holding it. If you can get your hands on a destiny knot, you guarantee that 5 out of 6 of the parents IVs (chosen at random, from both parents) will be passed down to the offspring. Everytime you do this, it'll increase the chances of you getting a 6IV pokemon. If you're breeding a pokemon w 1 perfect IV and hatch a pokemon with 2 perfect IVs, exchange them for eachother and continue breeding. If you want a 6IV ditto, I'd recommend going to the r/morebreedingdittos (specifically the "Pokemon-Scarlet-Violet" channel of their Discord Server, since they're currently not taking requests on reddit.) Since the game is so new, it'll be hard to get a 6IV ditto through trade for a while. It's kinda tedious in every game, it's a lot easier if you can get your hands on a 6IV ditto, or at least a 5IV one. (ie: Replacing a pokemon w a "pretty good" IV with one with a "Very Good" etc.) Okay so I haven't played SV yet but, usually, a solid strategy is to continuously replace the non-ditto parent with the offspring that get better IVs, even if just slightly. ![]()
